Biography[]

Before the series[]

Before being in the care system, Taz used to live happily her mum and dad. She revealed to Mike in the sixth episode of series 6 (when Mike was planning to get rid of the piano) that her dad used to play the piano a lot, and that he taught her how to play. But both of them stopped playing after Taz's mum died.

Taz's mum died when Taz was only 4 years old. It was just her and her mum in the house the night she died, and Taz was in bed with the bedroom door closed. So Taz couldn't hear her mum was in need of help. It's unknown how she died, but Taz had blamed herself for her mothers death since it happened, as she believed that if she kept her bedroom door open, she would've been able to help her mum. This is the reason why Taz doesn't like being in a room with the door shut, just case anything like it happened again. Taz told Floss all this in Holding Out For a Hero when she confided in her about the burglar she was afraid of in the previous episode .

After Taz's mum died, Taz's father became extremely depressed. He stopped going to work, playing the piano, looking after himself and Taz. It's likely he became an alcoholic (like Lily's dad, Steve.) Taz's father would ignore bills in the post, as he couldn't afford to pay them anyway as he'd stopped going to work, so he would tell Taz to hide all the brown envelopes that came in the post. (This later caused the threat of Ashdene Ridge closing down, when she did the same in [[#SaveTheDG]].

The Dumping Ground: Series 5[]

Taz was introduced in the second half of Series 5. When news breaks out that Mike and May-Li have fought and May-Li is leaving, she burst into tears and clings to May-Li. This is supposedly what changed May-Li mind into staying at the Dumping Ground.

The Dumping Ground: Series 6[]

Taz competes in the Hunger Game type competition to win the luxury bedroom (which wasn't actually for them). She was out of the game thanks to Candi-Rose. Taz becomes confused along with everyone else about Jody becoming angrier than usual, and mentions how nice Jody was to her when she first arrived at the DG. Taz gets caught up in Candi-Rose's shoplifting habit when Taz works out that's how she was getting all these expensive clothes and items for everyone. When Taz was asked by Joseph and Archie who she'd vote to leave the DG out of the two of them, Taz said she wouldn't vote for either of them. When they ask her why, she says "Because I hate you both equally.", it's unknown if she was just joking here, or if she actually meant it. Taz gets roped in to becoming Floss' personal assistant after Floss hurt herself when using Taz's roller-blades. Floss' injury turns out not to actually be that serious, but decides to milk it just to get someone to do everything for her. Taz later catches Floss out, which leads to Floss being grounded by May-Li. When Mike planned to sell the old piano because it's old and nobody ever uses it (since Gus left), but Taz refused to let it happen. It's later revealed that her mum and dad taught her how to play the piano and she also mentioned that her dad stopped playing the piano after her mum died and its shows that she misses her parents and her dad put her into care because he couldn't cope raising Taz alone. In the end Tyler, Jody and Floss supported Taz to keep the piano as it changes Mike's mind because Taz is shown to have a knack for playing the piano. Taz takes part in the competition to win a trip to London against another care home called Graybridge. Taz becomes quite shaken after a burglar broke in. Ryan didn't help the situation when he over exaggerated the scariness of the burglar to Taz on purpose to frighten her more.

Personality[]

Taz has shown to be someone with a sense of humour. As she cheekily said to Charlie that they're not allowed pictures of their boyfriends up on the wall, whilst Charlie was putting a picture of a donkey in her bedroom when she first moved in to the DG. Taz may be small, but when she get's angry you don't want to stand in her way when she is. She got quite violent with Jody when she first arrived by kicking her in the shin and throwing mud in her face. Even though Taz is feisty, she can get frightened very easily. Taz also likes dancing and playing the piano.

Trivia[]

Taz's favourite television programme is Blue Peter. (The return of the Freaky Twins).
